The Funkee Boyz

Popular pop trio with perfect hair and sparkly outfits from the 2012 young adult novel Fame, Fortune, and the Bran Muffins of Doom by Marty Kelley. None of them play instruments. Nerd protagonist Simon studies them in order to emulate them to try to win a school talent show. But even with most acts cancelled due to cafeteria food poisoning, they lose to Stacy's baton twirling.
