Rutles.jpg

Fictional Beatles parody from the 1978 TV special All You Need is Cash. The Rutles first originated on the Rutland Weekend Television program, er, sorry, programme in the UK, an obscure post-Monty Python show of Eric Idle's. The clip got shown on Saturday Night Live, and sparked enough interest to create the TV special, which, despite cameos by SNL cast and George Harrison of the Beatles himself, did poorly in the ratings.

They released a second album in 1996, Archaelogy.
