Touring swing/jazz dance band from the TV show The Adventures of Ozzie & Harriet; from the "Ricky the Drummer" episode (04/10/1957). This is the show that launched Ricky Nelson's singing career.

In case Ricky's mildly rocking version "I'm Walkin'" gets your heart racing, don't worry, the Nelson family barbershop quartet version of "My Gal Sal" immediately afterwards will bland you right back down.

The plot makes less sense the more you think about it. Mr. Martin, the orchestra guy, dupes Mrs. Nelson to bring her son to fill in for their drummer. But when he shows, Mr. Martin sez they just needed a "band boy" to help set up. But then he gets to perform anyway?! Cause the drummer fakes being sick so Nelson can fill in?

Jackson (real trumpeter Pete Candoli) says that when he was in high school, Dad Ozzie's band gave him the same shot when Ozzie's trumpeter got sick.
