The Mad Hatters

Late 1960s English psychedelic rock band from Piece of My Heart (2006) by Peter Robinson. It's the 16th novel in the Inspector Alan Banks series.

They have a "bestselling" album, of their "psychedelic pastoral" music.

There's a murder after their Brimleigh Festival show in 1969.

• Vic Greaves, keyboards and backup vocals
• Reg Cooper, lead guitar
• Robin Merchant, bass and vocals
• Adrian Pritchard, drums

They all met at the University of Leeds and formed circa 1966.
