Sherrie Christian
Singer played by Julianne Hough in the 2012 hair metal musical Rock of Ages.
This aspiring singer hops a bus for Los Angeles from Oklahoma hoping to make it big, but ends up waitressing at famous rock club The Bourbon Room, a play on the name of real L.A. rock club The Whiskey-A-Go-Go.
She falls for bartender Drew Boley, also an aspiring metal musician. He writes the Journey song "Don't Stop Believin'" for her. After an idiotic sitcom misunderstanding, they break up, and she goes to work as a pole dancer at the Venus Club. Eventually, they get back together and Drew's song impresses mega rock star Stacee Jaxx of Arsenal and at the end of the film, she, and Drew, are guest singing it with him at his concert.
Her last name is "Christian" so they can use the song "Sister Christian" by Night Ranger.
