Paul Montana

From the 2003 novel (and before that, play) Liverpool Fantasy by Larry Kirwan of real Irish band Black 47. In an intriguing alternate-reality, Paul McCartney turns into this famous Las Vegas crooner after The Beatles break up in 1962. In 1987, he wants to get back together with the bitter band mates he hasn't seen in 25 years in a depressing alternate-world Britain on the verge of a fascist takeover.

The play dates back to at least 1986, and possibly 1984.
