Maestro

Psychopath killer for the mob and cellist in the "Diamonds of Death" story of comic book Pep Comics #42 (September 1943). He and other criminal Drape Shape think other other criminal Frogface Houlihan has the diamonds from a recent robbery. Maestro accidentally kills Frogface while trying to find out where the diamonds are. Eventually, Maestro double-crosses Drape Shape and kills him. Before he skips town, he hears about a musicians' contest on radio station WPEP. His ego leads him to compete, but it's a trap set up by superhero The Shield, and his sidekick Dusty. Fleeing, he falls and dies while trying to jump from one rooftop to another.
