Failing, fading rock star (Kris Kristofferson) in the 1976 rock remake of the 1937 classic film, A Star is Born. He helps Esther Hoffman (Barbra Streisand) of the Oreos into becoming the next big thing, while he slides into the traditional gutter, lubed by booze.

His big song is "Hellacious Acres," penned by Paul Williams.
