Jefferson Reed

Aspiring jazz musician/meek substitute teacher who gets superpowers in the disappointing 1993 comedy The Meteor Man. Reed is portrayed by writer/director Robert Townshend, who had previously created another fake act, The Five Heartbeats. Real musicians—including Luther Vandross, Big Daddy Kane, Biz Markie, Cypress Hill, Naughty By Nature, and Another Bad Creation—appear throughout the film.
