Démaine Markof

Protagonist and violinist in the 1879 French novel Un violon russe (A Russian Violin) by Henry Gréville (1842-1902), pen name for Mrs. Alice Durand, neé Fleury.

An English translation (by Miss Helen Stanley) was published the same year, with the title Markof, the Russian Violinist.
