Teen singing idol whose career is on the skids from the 1967 music biz spoof film, The Cool Ones. His Favorites of the 40s album tanked his career and made him a has-been at age 24. He pairs up with renegade go-go dancer-turned-singer Hallie Rodgers (Debbie Watson) and real band The Leaves (playing themselves) and revitalizes his career.
