Bachmann

Classical pianist and troubled alcoholic in the short story "Bachmann" by Vladimir Nabokov, originally published in in 1924 under his nom-de-plume V. Sirin.

He appears to be inspired by real pianist Vladimir von Pachmann (1848–1933).
