Harmonica-playing kid who lives in Alto, Ohio, in Robert McCloskey’s 1940 children’s book Lentil. He takes up the harmonica because he can’t sing or whistle. Luckily, his musical skills save a welcome-home celebration for the town’s hero when Old Sneep incapacitates the Alto Brass Band with a lemon.
