The Band with No Name

Punk rock garage band of protagonist Theora Theremin in the 2004 young adult science fiction novel The Princess of Neptune by Quentin Dodd.

There's evil mind-controlling shenanigans, and at the end they get to be the back-up band for celebrity alien Hortense Benway.
