Daddy Hound Dog
Elvis spoof from the "Save the Hound Dog" episode (19 Mar 2009) of Nick Jr. animated children's TV series Wonder Pets!. Main characters/superheroes Linny, Tuck, and Ming-Ming go to Memphis, Tennessee to save a baby hound dog who's stuck in a jukebox.
After the Wonder Pets rescue his daughter, Daddy Hound Dog shows up at the end to express his gratitude and reward the Wonder Pets with pairs of his favorite footwear, velvet booties. He sings a song about them that parodies "Blue Suede Shoes," recorded by Elvis in 1956.
The character is a reference to Elvis' 1956 hit song "Hound Dog." Another song reference is a teddy bear used in the rescue, which refers to Elvis' 1957 hit, "(Let Me Be Your) Teddy Bear."
