Jimi Hendrix knock-off from a 1973 U.S. National Guard magazine advertisement. They used the cover of Hendrix's 1970 release Band of Gypsies and changed the lettering of "Hendrix" to "Monroe," presumably because they did not have rights to his likeness.
The ad was aimed at Afican-Americans, and appeared in the September 1973 issue of JET magazine, and elsewhere.
