On the Apr. 23, 1982 episode of sketch comedy show SCTV, Pre Teen World is having a telethon where this band performs a cover of Canadian band Chilliwack's "My Girl (Gone, Gone, Gone)," (which was a #22 hit in the U.S. in 1981). Lineup: Stephan Seely (John Candy) on drums and backing vocals; Paul Rey (Eugene Levy) on guitar, backing vocals, and tambourine; Steve Applebaum (Rick Moranis) on guitar and vocals.
