Main character dad from the ridiculously long-running Fox network animated TV series The Simpsons with a varied and storied musical career.

In chronological order of appearance:

"Colonel Homer" (March 26, 1992)

Manager for country singer Lurleen Lumpkin.

"Homer's Barbershop Quartet" (September 30, 1993)

Vocalist and songwriter for The Be Sharps.

"Bart Gets Famous" February 3, 1994

In a flashback, Homer describes his after school job as being "in a band." But he is only a street busking one-man band. He attempts to play the 1968 hit "Tighten Up" by Archie Bell and the Drells, before being attacked by an unnamed organ grinder's monkey.

"Dude, Where's My Ranch?" (April 27, 2003)

In the this episode, guest star David Byrne just happens to pass by and hear Homer's anti-Flanders song, which he then records and produces as a duet with Homer, and turns into a hit. It's so big a hit, the Simpsons go to a dude ranch just to get the hell away from it. Lisa develops a crush on one of the cowboys there. When they come back home, The Moe Syzlak Connection (really just Moe the bartender) has a hit— a parody version of the Andrea True Connection's "More, More, More."

"A Star is Torn" (May 8, 2005)

Manager and songwriter for his daughter Lisa Simpson.

"That '90s Show" (January 27, 2008)

Vocalist and guitarist for Sadgasm.

"Covercraft" (November 23, 2014)

Bassist for Covercraft.
