Contestant in the Big Croon and Swoon Contest from the "Square and Warmer" story of swing music-themed teenage funny animal comic book Hi-Jinx #2 (September-October 1947). Series regular Mr. Square goes up against this briefly appearing contestant from Bruin U. He sings the 1946 hit "Rumors Are Flying."
The winner is whoever makes the most girls swoon. Lumbeardo gets nine.
His name is a parody of real singer/bandleader Guy Lombardo
