Ray Stevens' skit "The Rock and Roll Show" from his 1962 album 1,837 Seconds of Humor has three parodies of current song trends in it, complete with short songs. The last is Wayne Twang, a Duane Eddy-style instrumentalist who plays a very twangy guitar.

The other two are Sally Smash and Tommy Jimmy.
