From the film The New Guy (2002). High school garage band of teens. They cover Wild Cherry's "Play That Funky Music" at the prom.
Lineup: Gil (DJ Qualls) on vocals and guitar, Nora (Zooey Deschanel) on guitar, Kirk (Jerod Mixon) on drums, and Glen (Parry Shen) on keyboards.
The movie also has cameos by real musicians Tommy Lee, Henry Rollins, Vanilla Ice, Lyle Lovett, Gene Simmons, and Kool Mo Dee.
