Soul singer played by Samuel L. Jackson in the 2008 musical dramedy Soul Men. Thirty years before the film, he and Floyd Henderson (Bernie Mac) used to sing backup for R&B legend Marcus Hooks in The Real Deal, but they fell out. Hooks' death inspires them to bury the hatchet and drive cross-country for a memorial concert.
