Swing band from the 1938 mystery novel The Swing Music Murder by Harlan Reed (E.F. Dutton & Co., N.Y.). Set in Seattle, the band's leader is murdered and it's up to private detective Dan Jordan to solve the case, only he's trying to do it while kicking a bad booze habit!
