Soul singer played by Bernie Mac in the 2008 musical dramedy Soul Men. Thirty years before the film, he and Louis Hinds (Samuel L. Jackson) used to sing backup for R&B legend Marcus Hooks, but they fell out. Hooks' death inspires them to bury the hatchet and drive cross-country for a memorial concert.
