The Quietschbeus are a band from the German puppet television series "Hallo Spencer". They are the resident band of the shows fictional "Spencerdorf" (in engl. Spencerville), and consist of Karl-Heinz, Karl-Gustav and Karl-Otto. The Quietschbeus appear (and play) in every of the shows 275 episodes and some specials, as well as some audio plays and a shortlived comic series.
Meaning of the name
Their German name Quietschbeus is derived from the "Beach Boys". In the American version of the series, they are renamed The Screech Boys. Bandleader Karl-Heinz` (speaking with a strong Hessian dialect in the original) name is also changed to Frankie.
