Fictional Russian composer who was the pseudonym of real composer/conductor Sir Henry Wood.
Klenovsky was also supposedly a real person, a deceased young musician friend of Alexander Glazunov.
His biggest piece was a arrangement of J.S. Bach's Toccata & Fugue in D minor for full orchestra, in 1929. Wood kept the joke a secret for 5 years, until 1934.
