Broadway star played by Marlene Dietrich in the 1942 screwball comedy film The Lady is Willing. She sings "I Find Love;" Madden's singing voice was dubbed by Virginia Reese.

She finds an orphan baby she wants to raise, and has a marriage of convenience to obstetrician Dr. Corey T. McBain (Fred MacMurray) just to make it all nice and legal.
