Parody of rapper LL Cool J from the 1990 Sonic Youth song "Kool Thing." The song was inspired by Sonic Youth member Kim Gordon's interview with LL Cool J in 1989. Real rapper Chuck D guest-voiced a few spoken lines in the song and video as the character. Several lines in the lyrics refer to or quote specific LL Cool J songs or albums.
