Destitute opera singer from the short story "The Sound-Sweep" by J.G. Ballard. It was first published in the February 1960 issue of Science Fantasy.

The story inspired the lyrics of the 1979 hit New Wave song "Video Killed the Radio Star" by The Buggles.
