Swing bandleader and alto saxophonist from the 1970 sci-fi novel After Things Fell Apart. by Ron Goulart. He plays the Passtime Club, where you get in cheaper if you take off your clothes.

He poked a photo poster taped the whitewashed stone wall above his head. "He's the one with the moustache and the saxophone. Hobart 'Big Mac' MacGregor. Not a bad alto man for an ofay, but he's got a mean streak. Careful he doesn't cut you up."
