Islamic punk rock band (taqwacore), probably from California, in the 2003 novel The Taqwacores by Michael Muhammed Knight.

Main character Jehangir wears one of their t-shirts. The band is also discussed in the 2009 sequel novel, Osama Van Halen.

The 2003 novel was turned into a 2010 film, The Taqwacores, and the band is mentioned there also.

The band's name was used by a real band, formed by Kourosh Poursalehi, who was inspired by the novel and originally thought it was a real-life account.

The name originated as the title of a 1993 album by British electronica band Muslimgauze.
