Stage name of singer Anna Lou Schreckengost of New Bethel, Pennsylvania, USA, in the 1960 novel Girl Singer: A Two Part Invention, by Deborah Ishlon.

Ishlon was Coordinator of Creative Services for Columbia Records at the time.

Adams is discovered and groomed for stardom by Sid Harper, A. & R. man at Manhattan's Blackwood Records.
