Rising pop star played by real singer Barbara Streisand in the 1976 rock remake of the 1937 classic film, A Star is Born. She falls for failing, fading rock star (Kris Kristofferson), who helps her become the next big thing, while he slides into the traditional gutter, lubed by booze.
