Jump to navigationJump to searchJazz saxophone-playing Owl introduced in the 1 Feb. 1985 episode of Sesame Street. In the 13 Mar. 1987 episode he advised Ernie to "Put Down the Duckie" if Ernie wanted to play the saxophone. He performs with the house band at Birdland, Sesame Street's jazz club.
In the 5 Mar. 1987 episode, he mentioned that he once played with a band named The Rhythm School. His granddaughter Athena is an aspiring scat singer.
