Yesterday's Universe All Stars

One of the many fictional jazz outfits created by DJ/producer Madlib in the 2000s. The releases by these 'bands' on Stones Throw Records often looked and sounded as if they were vintage and discovered in a second-hand record store, with pre-printed ringwear on the cover and pre-recorded vinyl crackling in between songs.

Yesterday's Universe All Stars appear on the 2007 compilation "Yesterdays Universe!" with the track "Vibes From The Tribes Suite (For Phil)", alongside the flagship band in this context, Yesterdays New Quintet.
