Otherwise unnamed classical string quartet and French protagonists of the 1895 Jules Verne novel L'Île à hélice (variously published in English as Propeller Island; The Floating Island; and The Self-Propelled Island).

The narrative follows them as they travel to the artificial flying island of the title, a playground for the super-wealthy. The quartet is hired to play a number of concerts for the residents while the construct tours the islands of the South Pacific.

Lineup:

  • Yvernès, first violin
  • Frascolin, second violin
  • Pinchinat, viola
  • Sebastian Zorn, cello

In the original French, the group was referred to as Le Quatuor Concertant.
