The Belters
From Rocklopedia Fakebandica
Jump to navigationJump to searchBand mentioned in the "Hippie, Hippie, Hooray" episode (February 1, 1968) of classic sitcom Bewitched. Free-spirited witch Serena gets arrested on the front page, leading to embarrassment and confusion since she's the identical cousin of protagonist Samantha Stevens (Elizabeth Montgomery). Serena later disguises herself as Samantha and sings a short version of "The Iffin Song" on a psychedelic guitar, mentioning it's by this band.
When introduced to conservative Mr. Giddings (of Giddings Tractor), Serena also makes a joke about Giddings Tractor and His Psychedelic Six.
