In "Panic on the Streets of Springfield," the 18 Apr. 2020 episode of long-running animated comedy The Simpsons, Lisa Simpson gets an imaginary friend, "a depressed British singer from the 1980s." The character, voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch, is a thinly veiled parody of real musician Morrissey, with perhaps a soupçon of the Cure's Robert Smith. At the end of the episode, we meet the real Quilloughby, a fat, xenophobic disappointment.

Needless to say, Morrissey thought that joke wasn't funny anymore.
