James Beckman

Recording artist suffering from drug abuse mentioned in the beginning of racy 2015 romance novel You Really Got Me by Erika Kelly. Label head Irwin Ledger dropped him from the label because "he couldn't fulfill his contract." Irwin's spoiled teenaged daughter Caroline thinks she's Beckman's muse, and Irwin torpedoes his assistant (and protagonist) Emmie's trip to Australia so she instead can keep Caroline away from Beckman. And drugs. And booze. And lots of things, really.
