Manina Stewart

Concert pianist from the 1950 film September Affair. Although an American, she has been living in Europe since 1938, when she was 16. She's finally supposed to travel back for a concert, but runs into married wealthy engineer David Lawrence (Joseph Cotten) while traveling from Rome to Naples. They have an ill-fated affair, boosted for a short while by the fact that they missed their plane which crashed. Listed among the fatalities, they shed their old identities to live in an Italian villa. But it all comes crashing down.
