Surprise rock star from the 1956 comedy film The Girl Can't Help It. At first, aging, former mob boss Marty "Fats" Murdock (Edmond O'Brien) hires on-the-skids agent Tom Miller (Tom Ewell) to hype his ditzy, talentless girlfriend Jerri Jordan (Jayne Mansfield) into a singing star.

But at the end, Miller somehow turns Murdock himself into a star, singing "Rock Around the Rock Pile," backed up by Ray Anthony and his band.

The film features performances by lots of real acts: Little Richard, Gene Vincent and His Blue Caps, The Treniers, etc.
