Tess Turbo

A parody of real band Joan Jett and the Blackhearts from the comic strip Bloom County written and drawn by Berke Breathed.

Local lawyer and douchbag Steve Dallas wins an MTV contest and gets to appear in a video with her and her band the Blackheads, but during filming, his chest hair catches on fire from the pyrotechnics, parodying Michael Jackson's hair-on-fire incident while filming a Pepsi commercial. He later sues her, appearing on The People's Court.

Turbo later plays the local Meadow Party's 1984 fundraiser concert.
