Successful opera soprano from the illustrated short story "The Spectre at the Opera!" in horror comic book Eerie #13 (October 1953). Set in Milan in 1836, she's playing Lucia in Donizetti's opera Lucia di Lammermoor. But when the curtain goes up, a mysterious stranger has taken her role, and wows the crowd. It turns out to be Virginia Cosselli, who's some kind of vampire and came out of the grave and killed singer Alfieri and took her place, and bit and weakened tenor Grazzini, so that he died later that night. The narrator discovers the truth.
