Crane Mallon

Popular singer from the "Love Conquers All" story of romance comic book Romantic Hearts #1 (March 1951). He's brought in by Jessica Walton and her rich dad to direct the small town of Plainview's production of Song of the Desert. She did it to thwart her rival Marcy Blake who was hired to direct the show.

Blake and Mallon start dating, and Mallon encourages her singing career. But then he disappears, only to turn up a dead Lt. Commander in a Navy plane crash in the Korean War. Turns out nasty Jessica Walton lied to Mallon that Blake would meet him at the airport. But then Mallon turns up alive with instantly-cured amnesia! Whoo! Cured by Blake's singing, even!
