Jump to navigationJump to searchFictional blues musician invented by Downbeat writer Don DeMicheal in 1959 as a joke, who didn't expect his bosses to publish it. It was then dropped in the magazine here and there as a joke.
Described in Jazz Anecdotes by Bill Crow (1990).
The name even made it into Billboard (March 16, 1963) and Cash Box (May 23, 1964) magazines.
