Broadway singer from the 1935 film Star of Midnight. She's really Alice White, a missing lady being sought by Tim Winthrop (Leslie Fenton). He gets lawyer Clay 'Dal' Dalzell (William Powell) to find her. He trades quips and drinks with socialite Donna Mantin (Ginger Rogers) and it's all a rip-off of Powell's previous Thin Man character.

Smith sings masked to hide her identity in a Broadway show titled Midnight. A columnist who was about to reveal her identity is murdered.

The film is based on a novel by Arthur Somers Roche.

Played by an uncredited Bess Flowers.
