Born Frank Carr (13 Aug. 1906; d Galway, 19 June 1959), this Irish folk fiddler turned ethnomusicological collector, then avant-garde composer-tinkerer, playing with theremins, intonarumori, and tape manipulation.

From the 2015 art project Historical Documents of the Irish Avant-Garde by Irish artist and composer Dr. Jennifer Walshe. A digital album compilation of the same title, released 2017, contains a part of his "1958 electric bog piece Prismatic Sounds."
