Cora Saunders

Sort-of-aspiring concert pianist from the "Heartbreak Sonata" story of comic book Secrets of Young Brides #10 (September 1958). Cora's controlling mom forbids her to see boyfriend Roger because she thinks it will get in the way of Cora's career.

Roger drags family friend and well known classical pianist Boris Grabowski over to judge Cora. He pronounces "She will never be a great pianist," much to Cora's relief. Mom finally relents and lets Cora marry Roger, and also watches all her frustrated dreams of living vicariously through her daughter shatter like a Hummel figurine in a woodchipper.
