Cleve Eric The Thing.png

Temperamental concert pianist from "The Dead Man's Hand" story of horror comic book The Thing #9 ( Jul 1953). He affects a monocle, two piece mustache, and bald head. He is cruel and hateful, partly because his hot young wife Maria is having an affair with Dr. Paul Walker, and partly because he has a monocle, two piece mustache, and bald head.

When he's practicing in the cottage behind his mansion, the two lock him in and set it on fire, killing him. But Cleve's severed hand crawls out of the coffin for revenge, and strangles all the servants he hated and berated, and Walker, and then grabs the steering wheel while Maria is driving, crashing the car and killing her.
