Antoine Batiste

From the HBO series "Treme." At the start of the first episode, trombonist Antoine Batiste stiffs a cabbie and joins the real-life Rebirth Brass Band for a "second line" street parade. and he repeats both (stiffing cabbies and seeking gigs with, and eventually performing alongside real-life New Orleans musicians) throughout the first season. For a time he keeps a regular gig playing with Kermit Ruffins, but loses the gig after he is beaten by police officers, one of whom steals and pawns his trombone.
